                      Stained Glass Commissions

  • Building regulations 2000, N1, 1.5. I high risk areas i.e. doors, allow for use of small panes contained within leaded or copper foiled sections.
  • Designs reflect the size allowances that the Building regulations allow for.

  • Stained Glass Commissions can be produced from photos, customer descriptions of what they would like or clients own designs (be aware that some alteration may be necessary) please follow the link for guidelines.
All past commissions can be reproduced (unless stated otherwise), although due to their handcrafted nature, and the nature of the glass, no repeat of a commission will be exactly the same.

If you desire me to undertake a commission the pattern and the rights to the design will remain my property. Unless the rights are bought from me. This can be discussed but would be considerably more expensive than the actual item commissioned.

Charges for producing a design vary, dependant on the size and complexity of the commission (this is not the same as buying the rights to the design from me).

Commissions are charged at £5.00 per piece + materials for copper foil (each piece takes aprox 20 mins), and lead at £12.50 per piece + materials for leaded (each piece takes aprox 60 mins). Prices for fusing and staining depend on design.
A 35% non-returnable deposit is required, and notification will be sent when the commission is complete. the remainder is then due prior to item dispatch.

  •        Colours will not fade as the glass is not painted (excluding highlights such as eye details. Kiln fired paints can be used by request), it is actually coloured glass cut to shape. For individual items purchased, please state the colours desired in your contact details. If requested, an unedited photo will be emailed of the actual item to be sent.

Abstract leaded window

Leaded Abstract piece that was going to be encapsulated within a double glazed window.

Customer Quote: how amazing the window looks.  It's beautiful, just what I wanted and I'm so happy with it.      When the sun shines through it, the colours are reflected into the room just like a rainbow.  I've not had the    perfect reflection yet as the colours hit the very scruffy scaffolding in the room but it gives me an idea as to  what it'll look like when the room is finished.  Thank you so much for doing it for me.

St Cuthberts School Windows

Started in 2006 completed 2007. Undertaken, when I was just doing stained glass as a hobby (1 morning a week, including teaching the children).
